My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPT POPPY! 🐾

Meet Poppy, a wonderful, beautiful and amazing kitten!

Poppy has endless energy and spends her days practicing her WWE moves on her bestie, Indie. She has such a big, fun personality. She is fearless and loves racing through the house, chasing after all her foster siblings and playing with all her little toy mice. Poppy isn't afraid to take on one of the big cats in her foster home. She is always tormenting them by chasing their tails or engaging in a wrestling match with them.

Poppy is about as perfect as they come. She is active, playful, very social, cuddly and overall perfect! After a very long play session, she will seek out one of her foster parents to curl up inside one of their sweaters for a cozy nap. Poppy will melt even the grinchiest grumpiest heart (just ask her foster dad!) 😉

She adores her best friend Indie and would love to be adopted with her! Their energy is very well matched. They never get bored with each other and love spending hours pouncing, wrestling and chasing each other through the house.

** Poppy MUST go to a home with another active, playful cat. (Or adopt a 2nd kitty with her for ½ the adoption fee!) She needs an indoor-only home with plenty of room to run around, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with. She needs a family who will give her lots of love, attention, and playtime. **

Poppy does great with other cats and cat-friendly dogs after proper introductions. She does well with respectful, gentle children, and she is litter box trained.

If you are looking for a fun-loving sidekick to keep you laughing and then seek you out for affection and some cuddling, you've found your girl! 🏠💕

More about this rescue

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens whom are abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, unwanted or would otherwise be euthanized in shelters. We work with multiple shelters in Utah and are part of the Best Friends Animal Society Coalition aiming to make Utah a no-kill state.
We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric and neonatal, sick and injured and cats with severe behavioral problems. We get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes.
We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats. We provide food, shelters and medical care for more than 100 community cats daily. We also assist low income families with medical care and food for their animals.
We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the public to keep our organization running. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well, such as dogs, small animals and livestock.
Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives and we will continue to save more and more lives every year.
