This helps Waggytail Rescue - Los Angeles with pet care costs.
Blackberry is a 5-7-year-old, 13-pound female chihuahua mix from Texas! Blackberry is a curious, loving, easygoing pup. She is continuing to adjust during her time in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Blackberry enjoys quiet time at home, cuddling, and looking in the mirror!
Blackberry is never barks, bites, or cries, and is working on understanding “sit”. During her time with her foster family, she seems to be mostly house trained, but will need patience for some accidents she’ll have while adjusting. She is not being trained to use a wee wee pad indoors.
Blackberry is working on being brave outdoors, and in the cold. She is very afraid of loud noises and cars, so usually asks you to carry her on walks.
Her forever family will need to continue working with Blackberry to reinforce and advance the progress she's been making with house training, and getting her more comfortable in the big city.
Blackberry has done well in her crate during the day when she’s left alone at home, and at night to sleep, although she would prefer to sleep with her forever owner in bed. She loves to dig herself into a towel and can often be found napping her heated blanket.
Blackberry is looking for a low key family that lives in a quiet home/neighborhood. She appreciates downtime and active moments! She would do well with another dog but can also be a solo dog. Blackberry would do fine in a home with or without children.
Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
To apply for Blackberry, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.
Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue.
