My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, future family! My name is Lydia. I thought I was an abandoned kitten looking for her forever home, but apparently, I am a cutie pie looking for her forever home!

As a super friendly and affectionate little girly, I’ll melt your heart with my enchanting tiger-like eyes and purr my way into getting whatever I want, mainly treats and pets! In return, I promise to bring loads of smiles, laughs, and adorable moments into your life. When I’m not snuggling, you can find me running, jumping, and playing like the mini tiger I am! If you’re ready to open your heart and home to me, please fill out an application ASAP and bring me home for the holidays! XoXo, Lydia

Lydia was born on or about May 1, 2024, she has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, and has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS.

*All kittens need to be adopted in pairs or into a home with another kitten or playful young adult cat.

To express an interest in adopting her, you need to fill out our adoption application, including as much detail as possible at https://kittycorner.org/adoption/application/.  Please be sure that your email address is correct. If your application is accepted, KittyCorner will contact you via email to set up a time for you to come and meet her.

We require a donation of $100 per kitten/cat which will contribute to the cost of veterinary care that the cat(s) received for all the above-mentioned procedures/treatments.

KittyCorner is a New York State Registered Shelter/Rescue, Registration Number: RR0279.

*All kittycorner.org kittens/cats come with a lifetime “cat-back” guarantee. If at any time, for any reason they need to be returned/rehomed, please just return them to KittyCorner. We will happily take them back as our mission is to ensure that all our adoptees will always have a safe place to stay and call home.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Whether you have already found a cat or kitten you like in our adoptive listings, or if you just want to come and meet all our cats available for adoption, the first step is the application.

The first step to adopting is the adoption application. Our adoption application can be done over the phone 315-457-4420 or online at our website http://www.kittycorner.org under the "adopt" link; or here's a direct link http://www.kittycorner.org/pages/adoptapp.php

We request an adoption donation for our cats and kittens, which helps us to offset a little of our veterinary costs.
All cats, even the kittens, must be sterilized before going to new homes. We believe strongly in pediatric spay-neuter, a practice that can be used with kittens as young as eight weeks.

Go meet their pets

If you see a particular pet listed that you might like to meet, please call or e-mail and we'll tell you all about him or her.
If you are just looking to meet our cats available and see if one "clicks" with you, that's fine too!
Once you've completed the adoption application, either online or by phone, we'll invite you to meet our kitties. All of our adoptable cats are housed in the same location, so you will be able to meet everyone in one visit. We are located in Liverpool, NY.

More about this rescue

At Kitty Corner, we are NOT a shelter. We are "cat rescuers" -- volunteers who live with the rescued cats in our own homes. We provide shelter, veterinary care and a chance for a new life in a loving home for cats who have been abandoned or who never had a home at all due to the overwhelming number of homeless pets.
We are all volunteers and 100% of every donation is used for the care of the cats.

When a cat first comes to us, they are briefly caged and isolated until they see our vet. They are checked for parasites and diseases. We provide vaccinations and any other veterinary care they may need. We also spay or neuter any cat who is old enough.
The healthy, altered cats are then evaluated for personality and placed in one of our four "cat rooms". When necessary, we work to overcome behavior or emotional problems so that the cat will be a happy, adoptable pet.

We try to match each cat with the person or family for whom it is best suited. The happiness of the cat and its new "people" is our first priority. In the last few years, we have taken in hundreds of cats and placed almost all of them in caring, responsible homes.

Kitty Corner is firmly committed to the idea that once a cat comes to us, it will never be homeless again. We have a life-long "cat back" guarantee. If an adoption doesn't work out at any time, for any reason, we ask that you to return the cat to us.
