When you meet Moonbeam, our special 6 month old Shepherd mixed girl and 40 lbs, you are struck by her obvious beauty and her intense zest for life. This girl is all in every day, every hour and in every way. She delights in playing with other dogs and she can take on the most rough and tumble dog on the block. She is very affectionate, but will need the safety of a contained and physical fence in the backyard so she doesn't run off looking for the next human to make friends with. She has been around children 6 and above and does beautifully. We are trying to polish her leash skills and that needs a little more time and practice. She's pretty much housebroken, when on a schedule and knows what the rules are. She knows her crate but not the biggest fan of one. This girl would blossom and thrive in a family with another dog that is not an ' in your face' alpha kind of dog. She embraces all dogs unless they absolutely push the envelope and get in her face for a challenge. She will be a wonderful family companion and will be probably a 55-60 lb girl when fully grown. If you wanted a shepherd mix all your life, then this girl absolutely will fit the bill. Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com
PLEASE NOTE: Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region. Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.
