My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Arthur!

Sweet Arthur was found abandoned with his buddy Max. Together they roamed the streets for some time before they were finally captured and brought to safety. Arthur is now is a foster home and settling in well. He is around 6 years old and about 11 lbs. He is a sweet boy.

Arthur is quite easy-going around the house. He likes a walk here and there but is quite content to snooze and relax. He is potty trained and likes to putter around the yard for a little bit.

Arthur likes being near his people and is quite affectionate. It does take him time to warm up to new people and he'll need a minute to determine if you are 'good people'. On walks he can be a little unsure and may bark here and there when he encounters something he considers scary. He is not aggressive in any way but will let you know when he is feeling uncomfortable.

He gets along well with other dogs. We have not seen him with cats and therefore cannot recommend him for a home with cats. We prefer to see him in a home without kids because he does guard his food from people. He does not like it when you touch his food bowl when he is eating, or when he has a high value item like a bone. He will give a warning growl that children may not always recognize as a message to not touch him while he is eating.

Arthur will happily be your loyal and low maintenance companion. He sure is a cutie!

He is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $450.

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
