My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Olive is an elegant princess made of butterflies and magic who has swiftly become your closest confidante. With her Audrey Hepburn-like green eyes and dainty white paws, she radiates style, grace, and love. Although she's been known to serve fierce looks to local squirrels, she would never harm a soul. She has soft fur and excellent posture and speaks in tiny chirps and trills. She'll greet you by standing and sweetly requesting cheek rubs. Her delicate purr is so soft it's barely audible, but you can feel it through her cheeks. She's slightly less flirtatious than Oscar, but no less friendly and affectionate. She has a cheeky side and has been known to pull pranks on her brother. Her favorite pastime is sitting at an open window and observing the birds in the garden - she'll run to the window when we open it. She spends her napping hours in the arms of her brother Oscar.
Because they were so lovingly raised, these gorgeous, vibrant 11-month old bonded siblings LOVE people and are extremely gregarious and affectionate. Oscar could be certified as a therapy cat. With their sweet faces, captivating green eyes and winning personalities these are two of the best cats we've ever fostered. A mild-mannered pair, they're the perfect mix of charm, sweetness, and curiosity. If you're seeking two low-key, cuddly companions to make your house a home, look no further! Go meet their pets

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.

We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue

Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:

-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.

Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
