Belly rubs, squeaky toys and walks are a few of sweet Perla`s favorite things. She is 6 years old and is waiting to start the next chapter of her life. Her adopter will need to give her plenty of time to slowly transition to her home as she gets nervous with changes in her life. So this means her world will need to start off small and just be her new family that engages with her in the home and outside, close by. The key to a successful transition, is to allow Perla to decide when she`s ready to expand her circle of friends. Perla can be a talkative lady when she`s excited or wants to play.
Depending on introductions, she could possibly live with a dog that has a similar personality. She has lived with cats before, but will of course, need a slow, well managed introduction to a new kitty in her life. Perla also lived with children, so older kids that will give her time to adjust and get to know them, will be considered. Perla does have some ongoing medical needs that will require her adopter to have a good relationship with a vet.
