More about this shelter

The Scotland County Humane Society is a non-profit organization which depends on donations to remain solvent. The care and well being of dogs and cats in our community is the main focus of the volunteers and staff.

The Scotland County Humane Society is dedicated to the stewardship of abandoned, lost, abused, impounded and surrendered animals in our community.

Our Mission

We believe the only long term solution to the overpopulation of dogs and cats is for EVERYONE to spay and neuter their animals, without exception.

We administer the North Carolina State Spay and Neuter program and you could have your pet spayed or neutered for only $20. You must be a Scotland County resident and your income level must be below 100% of the Federal Poverty level. Please contact us to see if you quality.
