Daisy (A136512) is a 2-year-old Standard Poodle x Australian Shepherd mix who weighed 38.7 pounds on intake!
11/12/24 This pretty girl is Daisy. Daisy was surrendered to the shelter after killing the ferret in her home. With her history she did have an investigation done and was determined a nuisance animal and will have conditions to follow. We are recommending that she does not go to a home with small animals that might activate her prey drive. If there are cats or pocket pets in the home, Daisy must be restrained in another room to prevent her from having access to them. Again, we think she would do best in a home without cats or pocket pets. Daisy also needs to be securely confined when indoors and may not be left outside unsupervised unless confined within a securely enclosed and locked kennel for outdoor use. The kennel is required to be in place at the residence in which the animal resides before adoption. She was also said to play pretty rough and might do best in a home without smaller children. Daisy would highly benefit from working with a certified trainer to keep working on her manners and to see what training techniques work best for her. She also will need some continued help with potty training and kennel training. However, her owner did note that she will start walking in circles when she needs to go outside. Daisy is looking for a patient owner that will continue working with her and set her up to succeed. She is a good girl and just needs a little help! If you are interested in meeting Daisy, please let us know!
