Roscoe and his sister Lila were found abandoned in the countryside. A kind person took them in so that we could find them each a home to call their own. Her dogs helped teach the pups the ropes of being good dogs and they are learning more everyday. Roscoe is outgoing, rambunctious, brave and affectionate. Lila is sweet, mild, timid and affectionate. Both pups love other dogs. They do tend to have a strong prey drive and while there are no cats on the property they do chase other small creatures. They will need a fair amount of exercise and mental stimulation because they appear to be of the herding group. Both pups are very good about staying on the property even off leash. The pups were likely born early summer 2024 and are altered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $300.00

Additional adoption info

All interested parties must fill out an adoption application and be approved prior to adoption. If a family has currently, or in the recent past had pets then a veterinary reference is required. If not then two personal references are required. Our adoption fees for dogs range from $150-$300. Our adoption fee for cats is free will donation. After an adoption has been approved an adoption contract must be signed.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
