My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Kittle is about 3 years old and just over 10 pounds.

Little Kittle is extremely snuggly and waiting for the perfect lap. Although he is definitely a lap dog, he has a lot of energy and would benefit from being in an active home so he can get out for daily long hikes. He is highly trainable and eager to learn. Walks well on leash and comes when called. Good with cats and chickens. Gets along with other dogs but is not interested in playing with them. He is learning to be comfortable left alone (with other dogs at home) but he is not a candidate for being left alone all day.

Little Kittle has been working on his house training and is learning quickly; his foster reports that he is about 75% there. His foster will provide a training session to his local adopter.

Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Little Kittle is $300.

If you are interested in adopting Little Kittle, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/
. One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.

Additional adoption info

The Grateful Dogs Rescue adoption procedure is designed to find a good match between the dog and adopter. Our goal is a happy foster to forever transition. The adoption procedure includes an application, interview, home check, and an adoption donation. The adoption donation helps to cover spay/neuter, shots and other medical care given before the dog is made available for adoption.

More about this rescue

Grateful Dogs Rescue was founded in 1990; its mission is to rescue dogs not made available for adoption at San Francisco Animal Care and Control, and other local shelters, through no fault of their own. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs saves as many as possible by fostering these dogs in a loving home until a forever loving home is found.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is always in need of new foster homes!  You can make a difference by fostering. The number of dogs we can save is dependent on having foster parents to care for them until they find their forever homes. All of our dogs are in foster care.
