Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Look into Jules’s eyes in the first photo, and you can see she’s imploring you to tag or adopt her. Jules is a one year-old 55 pound brindle American terrier pit that was brought into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 11/18 by one of our officers. I would say she’s a brindle beauty! Her good reputation came with her. The story goes that she followed some one to their home, and they brought her inside until the next day when they contacted the shelter. They said she’s a real sweetheart, and was very well-behaved. When she wanted to do her business, she nudged a family member indicating she needed to go out. I would say that’s a smart dog …especially for being the first night in that home!!! When she got out into the shelter yard, it was obvious that she was nervous and unsure of her new environment. She kept looking out the gate. I’m presuming she was looking for her owners. She sits for treats and takes them gently. When I sat down she came to me for extra loving and attention. When she met other dogs she barked with her tail wagging. It seemed like she wanted to play. However, if you have another dog we ask you to ask the shelter for a dog test. She had a semi-strong pull on the leash. She appears to be housebroken. It looks as though she’s had a litter sometime in the past. She romped around the yard. She’s frisky, friendly, sweet, happy, and loving. She would be a good fit for a family with children. She wants to be mostly an inside dog so she can get all the cuddling she deserves.
