A home visit and reference/vet check will be done to determine the best placement of our dogs. You must complete an application, which will help us determine if the dog you are interested in is a good match for you.
Home At Last reserves the right to reject any application and reserves the sole right in determining the best placement for our dogs. The application is not a guarantee of any dog’s placement. You can complete our online adoption application with the name of the dog you are applying for at: http://www.homeatlastdogrescue.com/adoptable/adoption_process.php
An adoption fee is necessary to cover the cost of spaying/neutering, medicating, and caring for dogs that often come from situations of neglect and sickness. We also pay the shelters a fee for every dog we rescue and sometimes have to pay a driver to transport them from shelters to our foster homes in PA and out of harm’s way.
Without charging our own fee, we could not afford to do our work. Most PA county shelters get tax-payer funding and large corporate donations to support them so they can afford to let their animals go for a lower fee than we can. We thank you for your understanding.
The current adoption fee can be found on our website at: http://www.homeatlastdogrescue.com. We only adopt out dogs that have been spayed or neutered to ensure that no dogs adopted from Home At Last will be used for breeding.

More about this rescue
Home At Last Dog Rescue (HAL) was founded in North Wales PA, in 2008 as an all age, all breed, dog rescue. HAL is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
We are a group of dog-loving volunteers whose goal is to save the lives of homeless dogs suffering in high-kill shelters and puppy mills, as well as dogs in other unfortunate circumstances.
We are not a shelter; thus, we have no central location or physical facility to house the dogs we rescue. It is through volunteer foster homes, mostly located in the Greater Philadelphia, PA Region, that we can provide homes for the dogs in our care. Our dogs remain in foster homes until they are matched and adopted into their forever families.
In doing this, we hope to provide an alternative to the purchase of breeder and pet store dogs as well as prevent unwanted dogs from entering the overwhelmed shelter system. Since 2008 we have rescued over 20,000 dogs.
