My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shadow is a two year-old lad who loves to chew, dig, and explore. He adores attention from humans and always wants to know what you're up to. He will run up to you and give you a gentle headbutt to ask for attention. Shadow came from a home that unfortunately did not know enough about rabbits to give him proper care; he had been kept in a dog crate and was not given an appropriate diet. He wasn't even given any hay before. Despite this unfortunate situation, he is still very calm and loving. He has been chill during nail trims and vet visits, and is unbothered by his canine housemate.

Shadow is an active and social lad; he would likely benefit from finding a bunny mate to live with. Shadow is currently working on his litter training, and he is getting better with it every day!

More about this rescue

Bunny Lu Adoptions, Inc. is a volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) domestic rabbit rescue and education organization located in Waynesboro, Virginia. We are dedicated to educating people about the joys of having a house rabbit(s) companion and promoting care that will give those companions the best chance at a happy, healthy, long life.

Bunny Lu also provides temporary foster care to abandoned and neglected rabbits and arranges adoptions into loving, indoor, forever homes. While we do not condone the surrendering of rabbits, we understand that providing assistance to those people trying to improve their rabbits' quality of life sometimes requires finding a new home for the rabbits.
