What my friends at ACC say about me:
Sundae was in the den in loaf position, appeared reasonably calm, sniffed and ate treats allowed all petting and warmed up, leaning in for cheek, rubs, and giving head bunts. She stretched Her head out of the den without coming forward and when upper pressure was applied on her abdomen for a potential pick up, she hissed loudly. Based on her history it's possible that her former owners didn't observe proper boundaries with her, missed body language clues and may have over handled her.
Sundae interacts with the observer, solicits and appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in becoming ramped up, over handling and issues with being picked up.
