My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Pebbles, a 9-month-old Yorkshire Terrier with a flair for the fabulous! Some might call me posh, others say I'm chic-but I just think I was born to shine. Whether I'm strutting my stuff or lounging gracefully, I make every moment a photo op. My favorite indulgence? A delightful serving of pâté wet food-it's the highlight of my day!

I'm not just stylish; I'm also super social! I get along great with other dogs and even cats, so I'd be the perfect addition to a home with furry friends. I'm ready to leave my puppy past behind and start my new chapter with someone who adores me as much as I'll adore them. Could you be the lucky one to give me the spotlight I deserve? Come meet me and let's make magic happen!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
