My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was rescued by the Humane Law Enforcement Team.

At SDHS:
This pet has been microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered.

Why this pet is the one for you:
We're gonna get this out of the way right now ... we absolutely love this boy. I mean, those ears? Perfection. That smile? Gorgeous. The goofy, loving personality he reserves for his closest friends? Brilliant. Speaking of friends, if you want to join the coolest club in San Diego (AKA Fiat's inner circle), we'll let you in on the secret to earning his heart - yummy snacks and lots of toys! In addition to these essentials, he will also need his adopter to be patient as he becomes comfortable with his new surroundings. Though he is shy with new people, there is no better feeling than watching him blossom as you earn his trust. This boy is a favorite amongst our staff for good reason, and he would love nothing more than a home of his own. We would be happy to introduce you to this sweet boy and tell you more about why he is a great companion! If you think Fiat might be a good fit for your family, please call us at 619-299-7012 to set up a meet and greet!

AT BEHAVIOR CENTER: This animal is receiving a little extra support from specialized Caregivers and an assigned Trainer. To begin the adoption process and trainer-facilitated interaction, please reach out to us directly at sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org and provide a good callback number.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
