Dottie!

My dear friend recently passed away, and her husband is now dealing with congestive heart failure. He'll be in rehab for several weeks and will soon transition to a care facility and is unable to keep sweet Dottie. Dottie is a friendly and affectionate cat who has lived both indoors and outdoors and used to sleep with her owner. She's up to date on her shots, gets along well with other cats, and tolerates dogs. She's very sweet and enjoys being brushed, vacuumed, and even patted on her belly and bum. She may need litter box training; I'm not sure. My friend originally rescued Dottie from the street when she was just a kitten, and she's been a loyal companion ever since.

Dottie is staying on her owner's front porch, with neighbors helping to feed and care for her. She has a water and feeding station there, too. I also set up a shelter (with heating pad) on the porch, and the next door neighbor opened his greenhouse so she can have additional shelter. Please give Dottie a safe home.
