My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

GUINEA PIG ALERT!

Meet Rodney – a cuter-than-cute guinea pig! This pint-sized guy will scurry away from you, but once picked up, he relaxes and enjoys being held! His adoption fee is $20 and does NOT include a cage. So if you’re looking for cute companion that is on the smaller size, please visit him at the shelter Tuesday-Saturday, 12-4 - and be sure to bring a cage to take him home in!

Some info on guinea pigs: Guinea pigs are cuddly, comical, and clever. They make wonderful pets for children and can be very social animals. They prefer company, so please make sure you have a lot of time to devote to your pet. Their life span is generally between 4 and 6 years. They are herbivores and live off hay, vegetables and fruits, supplemented with quality guinea pig pellets. Their teeth are constantly growing, and are kept short by biting and grinding abrasive materials, such as hay, grass and wooden nibblers.

More about this shelter

Euclid Pet Pals is the volunteer organization whose members care for the animals at the Euclid Animal Shelter, in Euclid, Ohio. We raise funds by offering personal and business memberships and cage sponsorships. Other fundraisers include a Bark-B-Q in May, a Clam Jam in October, and car washes in July. The money we raise is used to pay for veterinary care and medications, necessary supplies, and spay/neuters. We are dedicated to providing a healthy, loving environment for animals waiting to be adopted.
