My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Available for Foster to Adopt

Baby is a 16 month-old Chihuahua. She is not yet spayed and needs crate rest to recover after being hit by a car and suffering pelvic fractures. We would love to place her into a loving, foster to adopt home so she can settle in with her family while recovering.

Despite her injuries and forced rest, Baby's sparkling personality shines for her family! She does well with her 4-legged foster siblings, including a small dog and 2 cats! During her brief outings outside her crate, she loves to snuggle on foster mom's lap and would love to be able to play. While she does not like being in the crate, she does need this time to allow her body to properly heal.

Baby's foster mom tells us, "She is such a sweet baby girl and absolutely loves people. I hope her new parents are very patient, loving and love taking her everywhere after she heals."

All medications and vet care are provided by SVPP while Baby recovers. Once she has healed and can be spayed, the adoption will be completed after her spay surgery.

Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.

Additional adoption info

Are you interested in meeting one of our available animals? Please fill out the appropriate online application on our website. We will be in contact with you to arrange a meeting with the rescue pet you are interested in.

Please note that all of our rescue pets are in private foster homes and meetings will be coordinated with foster parents. Typically, after you meet the rescue pet, we will follow up with you to see how the meeting went. If a match is made, we can finalize the adoption quickly. Please note that we may require a home check as part of the application process. Thank you for your interest in our rescue pets!

Adoption fees are between $100 - $400 depending on animal, breed, age.
