Annie is a Yorkie mix, she was picked up by Animal Control, dirty and matted, no collar, no chip. She is estimated to be 6 years old. She is very active, affectionate, and demanding. She loves children. She is suspicious of strangers, but friendly after a short time. She will bark no matter who she sees (except children) whether stranger or someone familiar to her. She is laser focused on food, probably not surprising since she was apparently a "street dog" for at least some of her life. She was a chubby 20 pounds when we adopted her; with diet and proper food she is now down to ~ 15 pounds. She will eat anything. My wife and I are in our 80s, we were looking for a quiet, laid back smaller dog to replace our beloved Maltese that died last Spring. My wife suffers from high blood pressure and we both have some mobility issues, Annie is just more than we can handle.
