Currently Living at: Foster home in the DC area!

I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Matilda, and I am a cute little kitten! I won’t ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be my kitten self. Two cats are more fun that one, and I'd love to be adopted with my brother, Murdock!

What my Foster Says About Me: Matilda is a petite little kitten who is full of kitten energy. She has a sleek black velvety coat with her little bright white socks that steal the show! She is smaller than her brothers but can rough-and-tumble wrestle with them and keep up! She loves all kinds of toys, especially wands and she is quite athletic...jumping straight up to get the wand if it's 'too high'!  She is confident and brave, coming right out of her carrier on the first night, and nothing seems to phase her.  She has a cute little habit where she lets her legs hang off things where she is sitting on so you can see her little white feet. :) She is a sweet, playful, gorgeous girl who deserves a wonderful home!

Kitten Vetting Requirements: Your kitten may not be fully vaccinated upon adoption.  You will be responsible for providing whatever remaining vaccines are needed to complete the kitten vaccine series.

Due to this kitten's young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than  2/19/25. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low-cost partner vets.

TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for adult cats is $200 ($350 for two cats adopted together). The adoption fee for a kitten (under 7 months old) is $220 ($380 for two kittens adopted together). If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckycat.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
