My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucha's owner is being forced to rehome her and her sister Chalice as their new landlord has enforced a new pet policy. They need new homes by December 6th. They are both foster to adopt dogs. Camp Companion will work with you to get them up to date on vetting and then they can be officially adopted.

Lucha is a stunning Presa Canario with a heart as big as her presence. She's a strong, confident girl who thrives with a family that understands her breed and can provide the structure she loves. True to her nature, Lucha is protective and loyal, forming deep bonds with her people.

While she enjoys lounging at home, she also appreciates walks or outdoor time to stretch her legs and explore. Lucha would do best in a home who can appreciate her gentle, yet powerful demeanor.

She's eager to please, loves to learn, and would excel with continued training to show off just how smart she is. If you're looking for a devoted companion with a noble presence and a heart full of love, Lucha is waiting to meet you

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
