BRIAR NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Come meet Briar and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Nov. 24th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Silver Spring (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!

Name: Briar        Best Guess for Breed:  Shepherd and lab mix

Best Guess for Age:   1 year as of November 2024      SEX:  Male

Approximate Weight:  52 lbs

Gets Along With:   Briar does well with other dogs. We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested if you have them.

Currently Living at:   DC area foster home.

Briar is Looking For:  His forever family! He's got all that awesome young-dog energy and is eager to have his own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and exploring the world - he hasn't seen nearly enough of it. He'd love to make pup pals along the way, too. But you know what he wants most of all? To know where he belongs, to know he's safe and loved for all his days.

What do you say? Is Briar the one you see trotting by your side?

What My Foster Says About Me:  Briar is a young pup with lots of energy! He is making great progress with house training and is still getting the hang of walking on a leash. He'll do well in a home where he can get lots of play time, exercise, and enrichment!

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
