WARREN NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Come meet Warren and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Nov. 24th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Silver Spring (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!
Name: Warren Best Guess for Breed: Hound mix, likely with foxhound
Best Guess for Age: 5 years as of October 2024 Gender: Male
Approximate Weight: 51 lbs
Gets Along With: Other dogs, and he lives with a cat!
Currently Living At: DC area foster home!
Warren is Looking For: His forever home! He ended up in the shelter through no fault of his own but has closed that chapter and is eagerly looking ahead to his new one. The one where he gets All. The. Smells. This boy is in his prime - his sniffer is strong. Lots of long sniffy walks, romps, and all the adventures his humans can dream up - he's up for it all!
Most of all, though, he wants to be safe and loved and under his own roof. Look at those awwww-inducing eyes. Can you see yourself waking up to that face every day for many days to come? Can you see Warren trotting by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: It’s likely Warren has never been in a house before (he seems scared to enter and both the TV and turning lights on and off startled him) but he’s brave, adjusting quickly and has pretty good house manners. He also appears to be new to showing affection but has come far in just a day from only leaning his head on me to leaning his whole body and now hugging.
He is the sweetest dog and very much a gentleman. He loves all dogs (says hi to every one nicely on our walks and moves on) and has had a gently play session outside with a neighbor’s young dog but is also very respectful of my senior dog who is not interested in playing with him and they coexist well. Also, he loves cats. My cat Nacho is pretty friendly and he was respectful while my cat checked him out and has been following Nacho trying to say hi and when it was reciprocated he ran off to get a stuffed animal to gift to Nacho.
He has some puppy-like energy and will chew on toys and blankets, but can be redirected. He's progressing on crate training. He has been a quiet but energetic dog.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and transport from the. shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog
