LIL PAPI NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Lil Papi Best Guess for Breed: Chihuahua mix
Best Guess for Age: 6 months as of November 2024 SEX: Male
Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 3.4 lbs as of 11/7/24
Gets Along With: Other dogs as long as they don't accidentally step or sit on him! We haven't seen him with cats but he can be tested if you have them. We would be cautious placing Lil Papi in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare small breed dogs with their level of energy or noise. Children would need to be supervised closely to ensure their interactions with the dog are calm and gentle in nature. We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant.
Currently Living at: DC area foster home.
Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. Lil Papi is tiny and likely has a bladder the size of a peanut, so he definitely will need potty breaks during the day!
Lil Papi is Looking For: A family he can depend on! This tiny little guy was left behind when his owner was caught shoplifting and fled the scene. Can you offer him a home where he can feel safe and secure?
One thing he wants to be really clear about: He's a puppy! He hasn't seen nearly enough of the world! He would love to do that... on his own four paws, please. 'Purse dog' is not his life goal. He's seeking humans who understand that tiny as he is, he wants to be treated with dignity and respect. This means he gets walkies, goes to obedience school to learn to be the bestest boy, and of course gets warm laps on demand.
In exchange, you get an outsized love that is way out of proportion to his physical size, adoring gazes, and a loyal companion. What do you say? Is Lil Papi the one for your lap and your life?
What My Foster Says About Me:Lil Papi is very tiny and cute. He can be apprehensive when first meeting new dogs but warms up once he feels secure around them. He did very well meeting people of all ages at his first adoption event. Not so crazy about walking on leash but we're working on it. Lil Papi wants everyone to know that at mealtime, he's a wet food kind of dog.
Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog
