Brandy Jo is a female white with tan Shih Tzu mix (or similar). She is 1 year old and she weighs 11 pounds. Brandy Jo is spayed and vaccinated including rabies. She is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm preventive. Brandy Jo is ready for adoption.
Brandy Jo came to us from a nearby shelter severely matted (tail stuck to her body), with skin sores, significantly underweight and anemic. A shave at the vet’s office, some ointment and medicine plus regular feeding finds Brandy Jo is a new girl! Sweet but not shy, playful and a tad bossy, Brandy Jo has lots of personality. She’s done well with potty training, not a fan of a crate but will tolerate it, workable on a leash. Brandy Jo wants the cat to play with her and should get along with most people and dogs. She would prefer an outdoor play area for sniffing and zoomies.

Puppies under 4 months old are vaccinated and dewormed several times, with a spay/neuter contract required for adoption. The vetting of an adult dog includes spay/neuter, vaccinations including rabies, and heartworm testing. Dental work and treatment of heartworms, cherry eye, mange, parvo exposure and broken limbs are some examples of what is done to save lives. Shot and medical records come with the dog upon adoption and include the last date heartworm prevention was administered.
