This little beauty is Abby and here is her story. When Abby first showed up, she took a chance to trust us and let us take care of her. Although she seemed nervous because she was shaking, I soon found out that that is just the way she shows her excitement. She is a bundle of energy and is often buzzing or shaking with high energy. Although she may take some time to warm up to new people she took almost no time to warm up to our other dogs. And once she warms up to her people she is so cuddly and sweet as she looks into your eyes and shows deep gratitude for your affection. Abby does seem to get on edge around unfamiliar things like children and new people so she likes to bark at them to see what they will do. Some of her favorite things to do seem to be digging, playing tug, and getting petted on her lower back. She also enjoys playing catch sometimes and gets excited for all kinds of treats. She does ok on a leash and is potty trained. However, she will need more socialization and command training because she seems to get distracted by moving objects or people when we go on walks and will tug on the leash. Abby has brought a lot of laughter and energy into our life and we hope she will be able to find a loving home where she can continue to radiate her fun energy! Abby needs a fenced yard. No electronic fencing. No wrought iron. Her yard must be secure. Abby is vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed and is 2-3 years old. Her adoption fee is $325. Her adopter needs to be able to drive to the Houston, Texas area. Fill out the online application on www.RussellRescue.com if you are interested and someone will contact you.
