Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi there, We are a 10-pack of beautiful Shepherd/Lab mix puppies born on 4/21/24 in Laredo Texas when our pregnant mama was dumped in a neighborhood and a good Samaritan brought her in. A few weeks later… surprise surprise, lots of puppies! We are now almost 7 months old, healthy, happy, and well-socialized, we have all our vaccines, spayed or neutered, and all of us microchipped. Now to find forever homes!
My name is Darla, I weigh about 42 lbs, and was the smallest pup in the litter, petite and girly looking, now tall, lean, and pretty. I have a medium energy and a happy spirit, friendly with everyone young and old, not concerned at all with cats, and I love playtime with other dogs. I love rope toys, squeakers, plushies, and playing fetch and any doggy treat is perfect for me. I'm very sweet and loving, and I enjoy attention from my people, pets, and kisses, but I’m not really a snuggler. I only bark to alert, no separation anxiety, already housebroken and well-behaved. I love going for walks and I’m always excited to take a ride in the car. I will make a wonderful family dog and hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be.
PUPDATE: I'm in Connecticut making friends and having fun playing in the pretty fall leaves. It turns out, my new foster mom trains dogs and says I'm one of her best students. I know sit, stay, touch, leave it, find it, and all sorts of cool things. Come by to meet me but be prepared to fall in love and take me home!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
