My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, the humans call me Batman. Not sure why, but it’s okay, as long as I have my
human(s), a fun dog buddy/roommate and food, glorious food! I’m a happy guy. Allow
me to tell you a little about myself….
I am a 1 ½ year old Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog. I am very, very smart. I already
know some basic commands and would be happy to learn more if you teach me.
I am a very happy guy and just love to be around my people-pack! That includes going
for rides (I love rides). The only problem is I may not want to get out when we get home.
I adore playing fetch! If you have tennis balls, especially the squeaky kind, I can play
fetch all day long! I also love any kind of squeaky toy to play with.
I am also very treat/food motivated. I can’t get enough of those Denti-Stix. My foster
Mom will tell you that I have a habit of eating my food so fast and I need to have one of
those slow-eating bowls but that’s okay, I’m the kind of pup that will make a game out
of it. I also like to check out the other pup’s bowls and eat what they didn’t…really,
really fast.
I am also completely house broken and crate trained and will eat and sleep in my crate
at night.
My foster mom says that I walk well on a leash with a collar or a harness, but I prefer
the harness.
As for my future siblings/resident pups, well, I get along with all 3 of the heelers that I
have been staying with although, I do get possessive of my toys at times. I do best with
a slow introduction too.
My perfect fur-ever home would be with an active adult(s). I am not the kind of pup to
be crated for long periods of time and I prefer to be around my humans and getting lots
of love. I need a lot of exercise and I mental stimulation. My foster mom thinks I would
do fantastic with agility training.
If you are interested in a meet and greet, please email my foster mom. She is handling
all of this stuff because, well, she will not allow me to use her laptop.

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
