My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

RE-INTRODUCING TESLA!

Tesla is a sweet and stunning 5 1/2 month old mixed breed puppers waiting for her Foster-To-Adopt home through PAWS Rescue inc. Her siblings DNA test revealed Husky and Super-Mutt as the breeds of this litter, although she does look to have some Shepard as well.

*Foster to adopt means their vet care is not complete yet so you will fill out a foster form initially and pay their adoption fee to hold them. When vetting is complete an adoption app will be filled out. (Must be between Boise-Idaho Falls to use our vet clinics).*

Hi, I’m Tesla! Let me tell you a little bit about me:
I’m not a fan of being held on my back these days—it’s just not my thing since I am not a tiny puppy anymore. But belly rubs? Oh, I’ll flop right onto the floor and stretch as far as I can to soak those up!

The vacuum cleaner? No, thank you! I’ll run and hide from that scary thing. But when it comes to strangers at the fence, I’m the first one there. Whether I’m on alert or just greeting the mail lady for her daily hello, I love checking out what’s going on.

I’ve got “down” pretty much mastered, and I’ve been learning to use the bell at the door when I need to go out. If I’m not let out fast enough, I’ll give a little whine to let you know it’s time!

I’m great at playing with other dogs, though I can be a little “annoying” in the funniest way! I absolutely love spending time outside with my people, whether I’m keeping watch with my radar ears up, lounging on the porch, or sneaking into the raised garden beds (oops!).

As for cats, I’m not totally sure. My foster cat doesn’t like other animals, so I haven’t really had the chance to figure them out. I just want to play. Same with the ducks in my foster home- I’m super curious about them, but they don’t stick around long enough for me to say hello. I think with some training or if we grew up together, I’d do just fine around poultry.

My favorite toys are the squeaky ones, but I also love chewing on bones and getting treats (which is usually when I learn new things). Treat time is the best time!

If you’re looking for a fun, curious, and affectionate pup who loves being part of the action, I might be your girl. Let’s meet soon—I can’t wait!

More about this rescue

Since our formation in early 2013, we have helped save thousands of cats and dogs throughout Idaho from neglect, abuse, and death. Many of our rescues come from the Burley Idaho Animal Shelter where PAWS has transformed what was once a high kill facility to a shelter where every adoptable animal gets a second chance! PAWS also takes in stray pets from all over Idaho including Twin Falls, Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. We work our very hardest to respond to every call for help!

PAWS Rescue, Inc. saves all breeds of cats and dogs of all ages as well as animals who have been hit by cars, shot, abandoned, abused, and neglected.

Rescued animals are placed in loving foster homes or transferred to other no kill partner facilities giving them a chance to find the perfect forever home. Our efforts give these deserving animals a second chance at a happy life.

Every animal receives veterinary evaluation and care, including spay/neuter and vaccines, as well as treatment for any other medical issue they may have. No animal is ever euthanized due to expense.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about PAWS Rescue, Inc. !
