My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello,
My mom(foster mom) calls me Sweet Henry. I am very sweet, animated, dance for supper, and easily entertain myself with my toys. I will talk back to my mom if I don’t like what she has to say. I love to walk, am learning to walk well on a leash, and know some commands, and am learning more! I love riding in the car, play well with others, and enjoy making the cats run though I do get along with them.
I know, I sound too wonderful to have found myself in a rescue. One thing you MUST understand about me- I have what was thought originally to be a closed spinal bifida- in all ways - I come across as a normal puppy- but with my spinal issues I will FOREVER be a diaper baby. I have NO control over my bowel and bladder. I do run around outside and walk without my “pants” on, but I know I have to wear them inside, but doesn’t mean I won’t try and tug them off.

If you don’t mind a sweet special needs pup like me, then I’m your guy. But understand, there is NO cure for my issue. If I’m your guy, then come check me out!
  Love,
  Henry

PS When I'm starting to settle down, when I is in the foster mana lap I put my head on her chest when she scratches my head & I gives her like a hug.... I can do this at your house too.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "the new moxie-doxy" treatment for heart worms).

It is our expectation & a requirement that heartworm preventative be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.

More about this rescue

All breeds have their own particular needs and rescued pets often have special requirements as well, very often in want of medical care, often lacking nourishment and kindness, and often expensive to rehabilitate.

Because we have had Boston Terriers for many years, we are very familiar with their habits, peculiarities and their special needs.

We operate across the southeast under the auspices of the Boston Terrier Rescue Network. We share information and resources in all of the USA with affiliated Boston Rescues.
