My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sammy is fostered in South Bend, IN.

Sammy has one heckuva story and he one great pup! Sammy come to us with another smaller aussie, both of which had significant hair loss from a flea infestation. Sammy has recovered nicely and his wonderfuly personality has started to shine!

He is a standard male black bi Australian Shepherd, born 02/14/2021. His beautiful coat is filling in nicely. He is such a well-mannered boy! He is house trained, crate trained and rides very well in the car. He also does wonderful off leash.

His only fault is that is is a bed hog.... but that is a small price to pay for having such a fantastic boy. Sammy gets along well with other dogs, cats and kids. He is a bit hesitant around men, and will need time to get to know them.

Sammy is neutered, has been medically cleared, is up-to-date on all vaccinations, microcipped and receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Proof of heartworm purchase for any previous or current pets is required to adopt from our rescue. Meeting any dog within MASR requires an approved adoption application on file. We process as quickly as possible via volunteers. Then connect an applicant one at a time with a dog and foster home to arrange a meet and greet. If all parties at the meet and greet, including the dog, are in agreement that it is a good fit, the dog goes home that day.
