My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Diana is a lovely young kitty, just a year and a half old. She is a brown tabby with white paws. She's a sweet girl, who purrs easily and likes to be petted. She loves people. We don't know her full story, but though she likely came into the shelter as a stray, she seems to have been in a home at some time, as she is sociable and friendly. This girl needs and deserves a forever home! Make an appointment to meet her, and you may find she is just the cat you're looking for.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
