My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peaches is described as an orange & white kitty, but she is such a pale shade of orange that it doesn't really fit. She is an active little girl, now six months old, so her pleasant personality is pretty well established. And while she is on the go most of the time she is awake, she will settle down when tired, and may even join you, sitting in your lap, lying beside you, or perhaps sleeping in your bed when she gets to know you. Give her a chance...you'll enjoy her antics, and treasure her companionship.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
