Just look at those stripes! Pickles is a sweet, friendly boy who is always busy investigating his surroundings. He likes petting and cuddling once he gets to know you, but may be a bit hesitant at first....there is just so much to learn about in his new surroundings. But once he settles in, as he did at his foster home, Pickles is going to be seeking love and attention from his new family or person. He gets along with other kittens and dogs, and loves playing with them or with his toys....and especially with you.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
