Meet Banditta - a sweet and resilient 7-year-old, 16-lb Chihuahua mix whose world was turned upside down when her beloved mom passed away. This gentle girl is learning to navigate life without her, relying on the compassion of Polka Dogz volunteers and the steady encouragement of her furry friends at the rescue. Banditta has a gorgeous, multicolored coat highlighted by a distinctive “widow’s peak” that makes her truly one of a kind. When she first arrived, she was understandably nervous, spending her days trembling by the door. But with time, patience, and love, Banditta has begun to blossom. She now delights in cuddles, lap time, and all the affection she can get. This lovely girl is transforming into a confident and loyal companion, ready to bring warmth and joy to a home of her own. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. FIRST step is to fill out a pre adoption application (www.polkadogz.org). We check vet references, personal references and do home visits before adopting any pet. We also help match the right pet to the right home. All current pets in household must be spayed/neutered and on heartworm prevention (very important)
Adoption fees help us support all the dogs in our rescue, some of which cost thousands in medical bills. Thank you for caring about the greater good!

More about this rescue

We strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership. We rescue many dogs with heartworms, injuries nad those who have been victims of severe neglect and/or abuse. Maverick is a perfect example. He is paralyzed and we work daily with him to hopefully help him walk again.
