Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet Yogi, a loving and loyal companion! I adopted Yogi from the Chicago Humane Society when he was about 1.5 years old, and he has been a cherished part of my life for nearly 5 years. He is primarily a German Shepherd mix with a touch of unknown breed. Yogi thrives on human companionship and enjoys being around people. He is good with children; he played wonderfully with my nephews when they visited.
As a shelter rescue, Yogi does have some behaviors that reflect his background, such as separation anxiety and excessive barking at other dogs or animals. He hasn't lived with other pets, so his behavior around them is unknown. However, Yogi is incredibly house-trained and clearly communicates when he needs to go outside. He can comfortably hold his needs for 6 to 8 hours. Yogi is afraid of water, rating, ponds, etc., and he doesn't like taking showers or getting wet in water.
