Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Prince, a charming and handsome fellow who will steal your heart with just one glance. While his striking face will have you smitten, Prince can be a bit shy when it comes to unfamiliar faces and new environments. He's the type who prefers to take his time adjusting, so a quiet, secure space to settle in will help him feel at ease. Prince enjoys the comforts of warm, cozy spots to curl up in, and once he's comfortable in his new home, his sparkling personality will shine through. He's looking for a family that understands he'll need some space to acclimate at his own pace, but once he's settled, he's sure to become a delightful companion. Prince will need a dental in the future, please speak to your vet to set up an exam. Don't worry about bringing a cat carrier-Prince has his own! He's ready and waiting to pack his bags and start his next adventure. Come meet this handsome boy today and see for yourself how special he really is!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
