My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Carly was brought in by her previous owner on November 16, 2024.

Why Carly is the one for you:
Meet Carly, a fluffy girl with a zest for life! This sweet girl may be a bit shy when you first meet, but with a little patience (and a treat or two!), her playful and affectionate side shines through. Carly is still young and will need some gentle guidance with potty training and crate training, but she's eager to learn and ready for any adventure by your side. Carly can be a little fearful of other dogs at first and has shown some protective behaviors around her food which will need to be managed in her future home. Due to this, Carly would do best in a calm, adult only home with children over the age of 10. She prefers calm canine friends, so make sure to bring along any current pup in the home to meet Carly so that we can ensure they get along well! If you're looking for a fun-loving companion to grow and bond with, Carly might be your perfect match! Bring a leash and collar when you come adopt Carly!

At SDHS:
Carly has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Carly is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
