My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scrappy is a little bundle of love with a big heart! At just 6 months old, this adorable black and brown Chihuahua is ready to find his forever home. He’s a little shy at first, but once he trusts you, his affectionate side shines through. Scrappy loves snuggling up for some cozy cuddle time and will happily curl up in your lap for a nap.

While Scrappy can be a bit fearful in new situations or around unfamiliar faces, with patience and gentle encouragement, he’s sure to blossom into a confident and loving companion. He’s looking for a calm, understanding home where he can feel safe and loved, and in return, he’ll shower you with loyalty and affection.

Come by and meet him today!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
