Hello, I'm Nobara, your friendly neighborhood superhero cat. My story? Well, it's quite the tale. One day, I was napping in a pile of towels, dreaming about chasing wand toys, when suddenly, a loud noise jolted me awake. It was the evil Vacuum Monster, terrorizing the peaceful citizens of my home. Without a second thought, I leapt into action, distracting the monster with my agile moves. In the chaos, I was swept away to this shelter, my new base of operations. Here, I continue my heroic deeds, protecting my fellow inmates from the Vacuum Monster. I've learned that even the smallest of us can make a big difference. Now, I'm ready for a new adventure. I'm looking for a sidekick who loves to play and nap as much as I do. Could that be you? Submit Application

If you see an animal you would like to meet, complete our online application. You will receive an email with the next steps.

2.
Meet the Pet

Visit the facility where the animal is located. If in foster care, the foster will set up a time to meet with you.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

One of our adoption counselors will review the animal's medical history and walk you through the paperwork.

4.
Pay Fee

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Once the adoption process is complete, you can bring your furry friend home!

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.

San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.

Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.
