Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Fee: $650, plus taxes
Location: Foster Home
Hi, I'm Snickers, a sweet, spunky little lady who's ready to find my forever home! My foster family loves me so much that they've told me I'd be staying if they didn't already have four pets of their own... but I'm excited to meet my very own family soon!
I'm a tiny girl with a big heart, and I'm looking for a home where I can be treated like the little princess I am. Because of my small size, I'd prefer a home without young children-I'm delicate and quick, and would be so excited to find a family who can understand my boundaries and treat me gently. I love short walks, though I can't go too far, and I'm always ready to have fun with my people!
I'm a playful girl who loves zooming around with other dogs-so if you've got a dog who can handle my speedy play, we'll get along just fine! I also get along with the cats in my foster home, though I'm still learning how to respect their space. But no worries-I'm a smart cookie and I'm eager to keep improving!
I'm working on my potty training and doing my best, but since I'm still a puppy, I'll need a little extra help to get there.
I'm looking for a loving home where I can be cherished and spoiled with all the love I deserve. If you think I might be the perfect fit for your family, I can't wait to meet you and show you just how wonderful I am!

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
