Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This helps Carver-Scott Humane Society with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Fee: $650, plus taxes
Location: Foster Home
Meet Godiva, affectionately known in her foster home as Wigi/Wiggles! She is a spunky 12-week-old Chiweenie with a big personality and a heart full of love! Rescued from a hoarding situation in Texas, her resilience and joyful spirit have already won the hearts of everyone around me. Godiva is a playful pup with a perfect blend of Chihuahua and Dachshund traits, a dash of adventure and charm which makes her impossible not to love.
Though she's still a baby, Godiva is already thriving in her high-energy foster home. She shares a space with two large dogs and three young children (ages 9 and 6), where she happily bounces from playtime to cuddle time. Her social nature means she loves everyone and everything-whether it's playing chase with the cat (who doesn't always share her enthusiasm) or engaging in friendly roughhousing with the bigger dogs. She may be small, but she holds her own!
A huge plus: She is crate-trained and loves her safe space! She peacefully sleeps in her crate at night without making a sound, and is already working hard on potty training, showing impressive progress. When she's not in motion, she is the perfect cuddle buddy, curling up for naps and snuggles when she's feeling sleepy.
Godiva's affectionate, energetic, and adaptable nature means she will fit well into almost any home. Whether it's an active family or a quieter environment, she is ready to bring love, laughter, and plenty of playful moments to her forever family.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
