My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beloved, affectionately known as "Lovey," is a mellow and confident short-haired calico cat looking for her forever home. After successfully caring for her kittens, she's ready to settle down and enjoy life as a cherished companion. Beloved has a calm demeanor and thrives in a relaxed environment. While she may not be the cuddly type who loves to be picked up, she truly enjoys the company of her humans, appreciating gentle scratches under her chin or on her hindquarters.

Beloved is great with other cats! She knows how to communicate her boundaries without being aggressive, and once everyone has settled in, she's happy to lounge a couple of feet away. She's also unfazed by barking dogs and will confidently stroll right under them, making her a great fit for homes with dogs. Her easy-going nature allows her to adapt well to different living situations.

Beloved would thrive in a family environment, especially with children who are eager to get down on the floor and give her some love. She enjoys the attention and affection from her human companions and will happily engage in playtime with catnip toys or sit by your feet while you're in the kitchen waiting for her share of the "cheese tax."

Beloved is fully litter trained, making her a low-maintenance addition to any household. If you're looking for a wonderful companion who appreciates companionship without needing constant attention, Beloved might just be the perfect match for you. Come meet her and see if she's the one for you!

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:
