My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

13-year-old Jasmine came into our care along with her daughter, Amelia, after their human passed away from cancer. Jasmine is a very calm kitty who loves nothing more than to take long naps on her favorite cat bed. She understandably takes a bit of time to warm up, but once she trusts you she will purr and head butt you for pets. She is a sweetheart who is just looking for someone to spend her golden years with.

She had a vet visit this past month which included blood work and she has no health concerns at this time. Jasmine is front declawed, so her adopter would need to be mindful as sometimes that can cause increased risk of arthritis. Jasmine is also FIV+. This means she can have a weaker immune system and therefore should be kept indoors so she is not exposed to illnesses. FIV is not spread to other cats through casual contact, and Jasmine has lived alongside other kitties for many years who have remained FIV-.

Jasmine would do best in a calm household. She comes spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $75. Please email liberationcathouse@gmail.com for more info!

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit organization that exists to save the lives of at-risk cats and kittens in the Central Florida area. This is primarily done through fostering those that are sick and/or medically needy until they are healthy and old enough to be placed in a forever home.

We believe that saving more lives can be accomplished through educating others on the importance of spaying and neutering as well as through safe and effective trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNvR) practices.

We live by the conviction that compassion for animals applies to all species, not just cats.
