My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

11-year-old Amelia came into our care along with her mother, Jasmine, after their human passed away from cancer. Amelia understandably takes a bit of time to warm up, but once she trusts you she will purr and head butt you for pets. She is incredibly sweet and is just looking for somewhere to spend her golden years. She would enjoy going to a home with another friendly kitty to be her companion.

Amelia had a vet visit this past month which included blood work and she has no health concerns at this time. She is front declawed, so her adopter would need to be mindful as sometimes that can cause increased risk of arthritis.

Amelia would do best in a calm household. She comes spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $75. Please email liberationcathouse@gmail.com for more info!

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit organization that exists to save the lives of at-risk cats and kittens in the Central Florida area. This is primarily done through fostering those that are sick and/or medically needy until they are healthy and old enough to be placed in a forever home.

We believe that saving more lives can be accomplished through educating others on the importance of spaying and neutering as well as through safe and effective trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNvR) practices.

We live by the conviction that compassion for animals applies to all species, not just cats.
