Say hello to handsome Max! Max is a 3-year-old neutered Shih Tzu mix. Max's favorite thing to do is give you kisses and snuggle up with you whenever you are sitting still. Max is a perfect gentleman on a leash and loves to go for his walk everyday. He has a moderate energy level and will find a toy to play with to keep himself busy if he's not snuggling up next to you. Max gets along really well with his foster brothers and sisters of all sizes but we just don't know about cats yet! Max is 100% housebroken and is great trained but we don't use the crate in his foster home at all. He also loves to go on car rides and is a very good passenger! Max is up to date on all of his needed vaccinations and is waiting for you in New Cumberland.

We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
