My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m Flora! I was rescued by my foster mom while I was *very* pregnant with my five babies. We’ve really blossomed in our foster home ... hence the name Flora! Now that my babies have grown up, and I’m done protecting them, I want to reside somewhere with a perfect window seat! I love bird watching, while relaxing in the sun. My cutest features are my nose freckle and large ears! Don’t let my motherly instincts fool you. I’m just as playful as my kittens, and I love feather teasers and treats! I get along with other animals, but I also do well on my own.

Included in our adoption fee, all of our kitties are vaccinated, FELV / FIV tested, dewormed, microchipped, spayed / neutered, and checked out by a veterinarian.

As animal lovers, we have dreamt of creating a non-for-profit rescue 501(c)3 organization in which we could place cats into forever homes with the utmost loving families. Our mission is simple: rescue, shelter, and rehome cats in need.
Our goal is to provide a cage-free and no kill shelter environment for the kittens and cats waiting to be placed. Our area of focus is in McHenry County, Illinois.
