Butters showed up at the shelter with a prolapsed rectum. We were able to rescue her, and get her a surgery to correct the issue. She is now doing well!
She is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped and FIV/FELV negative. She is about 3 months old.
PERSONALITY:
Butters is a very playful and sweet kitten. She has lots of energy, but also likes to cuddle and snuggle too. She is a huge purr machine!
LIKES/DISLIKES/OTHER ANIMALS/CHILDREN:
Butters loves to eat and play. She loves to jump up and “tightrope” on narrow ledges. Once she is tired, she’ll sleep on her foster mom’s lap. She likes to be held and to be pet. She also loves making biscuits on her soft, mush blanket. Her favorite toys are the worm with the bell on the end , any soft ball she can carry away, and any ball she can play soccer with. She’s quite athletic.
Butters does very well with other kitties. She loves to play with them, especially the younger kitten that is in foster care with her. She also likes to snuggle with them. She has been around dogs and is very interested in them. She is still separated by a gate from the dogs as they are bigger, but she likes to play tightrope on the gate to get closer to the dogs. She hasn’t been around children, but we think she would do well around older, calmer kids.
***Please remember; our cats have a low thirst drive and NEED the moisture in the wet food. Since wet food is 75% moisture and dry food only 10%, that is huge for our felines. Cats need wet food daily to avoid a lot of dehydration related medical problems long term like urinary tract issues which can lead to litter box avoidance and kidney disease or obesity issues linked to diabetes..
VETTING: Butters is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, and combo tested FIV/FELV negative. She has 30 day flea treatment on and has been dewormed.

More about this rescue
Furry Nation Salvation, Inc. is a foster based all-volunteer non-profit animal rescue organization located in Florida. We commit our resources throughout Volusia County and surrounding areas in finding permanent homes for abandoned, unwanted, and neglected animals. Run by dedicated volunteers, our work is a heartfelt collaboration in making a difference for the innocent animals without a voice. Our foster volunteers “one on one” care help us to determine the animals true personality to best fit them into their forever home. We also promote, practice, and work, in the area of TNR (trap, neuter, return). This method of population reduction and control for feral cats has proven to be successful and we are committed to this method. FNS strives to educate the public on the importance of spay and neutering their pets and provide locations where they are able to do so at a discounted price. We assist in transporting animals to and from veterinary clinics, and help individuals place their unwanted pet who would otherwise be dumped at an animal shelter with an uncertain future. We do so by utilizing social media and animal adoption sites and always making ourselves available with support and advice. We love what we do and together we make a difference for so many. Furry Nation Salvation does not have a facility and rely on foster homes for our rescued animals. Our current goal is to establish a dedicated rescue facility to be able to help even more animals in need.
